And the prices were higher than they should have been after the upcharges. The service was friendly but just average. I'd never had this dish before, so I was glad to order it and try it - but just once. The menu said they were spicy banana peppers and they were too spicy for my wife. We began the meal with a stuffed banana peppers appetizer. We had to remind the server to bring the salad dressing. My wife had a Mario's special salad, which she enjoyed. The extra cost of the Caesar side wasn't a good value at all. Apparently on the menu is says only the house side salad is free. special had one free side, so I ordered a side Caesar salad and was charged an extra $2.50. There was an extra plate charge of $3 to split the order. Nice flavors, plenty of meat in the sauce, and tender pasta. My wife and I enjoyed the daily special, which was a penne Bolognese.
